The Tuscan winery Spadaio e Piecorto can be found south of Florence in the picturesque village of Barberino Val d'Elsa. Here, in a former castle from the 12th century, it was founded in 1968 by the Stefanelli family. From a flat ridge you have a beautiful view of the typical Tuscan landscape: on one side the panorama extends over the gentle Chianti hills with their vineyards and forests, on the other side you can see the hills and valleys with the small ancient castles and admire the beautiful towers of the town of San Gimignano.
The vineyards of the Spadaio e Piecorto winery are located at an average altitude of 400 m asl. and cover over 14 hectares, of which 5 hectares are reserved exclusively for the production of Chianti Classico.
