Grape: 100% Barbera

Contents: 0.75 liters

Characterization: After the first selection for "Barbera Vigne Vecchie" grapes, the remaining grapes with higher sugar-content are used to make the "Barbera d'Asti Superiore. The Name "Superiore" (superior) is only given if wine meets high quality standards: Grapes must have a natural higher sugar-content and wine must be aged for twelve months, six of which in oak barrels.

Winemaking: Grape-stalks removal and pressing; Maceration process at controlled temperature in programmable vats.

Sensory characteristics: Excellent body. It has a strong bouquet of dried fruits and slightly "boisé" (woody flavour). Its taste is dry and long-lasting.

Color: Ruby red with a tendency to garnet.

Alcohol content: 13,5 % Vol.

Stopper: Natural cork

How to serve: Tasty first courses, with meat or mushroom sauces. It also is excellent with matured, spicy and marbled cheeses.

Recommended serving temperature: Between 18 and 20°C.

"Don Rodrigo" ALBAROSSA PIEMONTE D.O.C. 2015

Grape: 100% Albarossa

Contents: 0.75 liters

Characterization: Albarossa is a variatal obtained in 1938 from Barbera and Nebbiolo plants thanks to Prof. Giovanni Dalmasso. It grows primarely in the province of Asti, Alessandria and Cuneo. Because of its late maturation, the Albarossa deserves the best exposures on the vineyards.

Winemaking: Grape-stalks removal and pressing; Maceration process at controlled temperature in programmable fermenters. Aging for 6 months in oak barrels.

Sensory characteristics: Intense and complex bouquet, dominated by a fruity scent of flowers and containing a strong spicy component of tobacco. The taste is dry, well structured, warm and harmonious. Balanced acid with a great fullness and a long finish.

Color: Beautiful ruby red with violet reflections.

Alcohol content: 13 % Vol.

Stopper: Natural cork

How to serve: The Don Rodrigo is an ideal accompaniment to pasta with meat sauce. In addition, he is a good companion to main dishes of red meat (stewed or fried) and game dishes.

"REBUS" RUCHÈ DI CASTAGNOLE MONFERRATO D.O.C.G 2016

Grape: 100% Ruchè di Castagnole

Contents: 0.75 liters

Characterization: The vine Ruchè is an autochthonous variety of Monferrato and at the same time one of the rarest. It probably dates from Burgundy and was brought to Piedmont by monks who may have cultivated it here at their now extinct monastery of San Rocco. Here the soils are calcareous, dry and have an excellent sun exposure. These are ideal conditions for the cultivation of high-quality wines, of which one can only expect limited quantities.

Winemaking: Descaling and soft squeezing of grapes. Fermentation in contact with the skins and subsequent malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks.

Sensory characteristics: The Rebus has an original and intense aroma with floral and spicy notes. Fine noses take a touch of berries and cherries. In the taste, this red wine is dry, harmonious and pleasantly soft. Finally, a good aromatic persistence is waiting.

Color: Not too dark ruby red.

Alcohol content: 14 % Vol.

Stopper: Natural cork

How to serve: The Rebus is an excellent companion of stewed game. In total, he improves every meal with powerful food. Sauces that are refined with this wine make the taste buds cheer with joy.
