Halfway between Verona and Vicenza, in the Venetian village of Gambellara, the Zonin family's adventure in the world of wine began almost two centuries ago. Although the cadastral documents of the Venetian village of 1821 already mention Giovanni Battista and Girolamo Antonio Zonin as the first owners of vineyards, the family's official presence in this country dates back to the 16th century. Today, the Zonin 1821 company represents a unique reality with the mission of exporting the culture of Italian wine to the world.

The white wine grape variety Moscato bianco is of very old origin and most likely comes from the eastern Mediterranean basin. It is currently distributed all over the world under the name Yellow Muscat and is considered to be of very high quality. The name of this unique variety is certainly derived from its typical aroma with an intense and complex bouquet of nutmeg.

As a rule, the Moscato bianco in Veneto is harvested in the period from mid-August to mid-September. After destemming and soft pressing of the grapes, a traditional vinification begins with cold maceration on the skins and fermentation at a controlled temperature of 16-18ºC. The fermentation process is interrupted by cooling when the desired alcohol content of 7% is reached. The wine is then cooled so that the natural sugar content is retained and the Moscato can develop its typical sweetness and characteristic aroma.

A white wine from Veneto that Italians are crazy about. This Moscato Veneto IGT from the Zonin family appears in the glass straw yellow with golden reflections. Well chilled, it is fruity and pleasant on the nose with intense notes of white peach and exotic fruits. Subtly elegant mineral notes show up in the background. On the palate it is inviting and subtly sweet, intense, and fresh. The pleasant nutmeg taste typical of the variety is striking.

At a recommended drinking temperature of around 6°C, the "Ventiterre" Moscato Veneto IGT from Zonin is an excellent dessert wine and goes perfectly with fruit tarts, fruit salads and pastries. Also delicious with ice cream or simply on its own as a conversation companion among friends.
