Contents: 0.75 liters

Manufacturing: A part of the grapes is dried on the vine before the harvest begins, whereas another part is picked at maturation and dried under controlled conditions of temperature and humidity. The vinification takes place with the "technological tank" system where the grape skins and wine are continuously mixed by carbon dioxide force in order to extract color and tannins. The resulting wine is aged partly in stainless steel and partly in big wooden casks for 12 months.

Sensory characteristics: The Castelforte Merlot shows intense scents of red fruits like blueberry and cherry, hints of chocolate and jam and pleasant spicy notes of clove and vanilla.

Color: Ruby red

Vinification: The hand-picked grapes are gently pressed and the must is fermented in stainless steel tanks. After resting on the lees for at least 5 months, this Pinot Blanc is bottled.

Sensory characteristics: Bouquet with fresh notes of pineapple and green apple. Fine noses also notice caramel tones and nutty nuances in the background.

The taste is dry, lively and balanced. You can taste lemon, quince and nutmeg. Lively fruit acid. The finish is short and a bit playful.

Color: Bright yellow with greenish hues.

Grape: 100% Grillo. A varietal native to Sicily, the Grillo is the most famous white varietal on the island and was historically used for the production of Marsala.

Contents: 0.75 liters

Production area: Acate, in the province of Ragusa. This variety prefers typically sandy terrain that is sloped and gets a lot of sunlight. The type of farming is "Espalier", used with an average density of planting where there are 4500 plants per 2.5 Acres.

Vinification: Grillo. It is an average - to late varietal with maturity reached about the second week in September. The collection of the grapes, pressing, destemming is totally covered in the air (a method of vinification called "reduction"), the natural settling and fermentation take place at a controlled temperature of 18°C for 10 days. Maturation on the lees takes 5 months in steel tanks.

Sensory characteristics: The aroma is distinctly tropical with notes of mango and papaya, that blends with inklings of jasmine and white flowers. The flavor is balanced and harmonious with a delicate acidity.

The name "Mayro" comes from the latin word "mavrus", which means black, dark, recalling the dark color of this wine. The Fosso Corno Estate is located in Roseto degli Abruzzi and covers 30 hectares on a single hill, facing the Adriatic Sea. The vineyards from which they produce Mayro are distinguished by the special attention which is dedicated to the pruning. The aim is to limit fruit production and create ideal conditions for air to circulate around the productive layer of the vines.
